What personal trainer doesn’t want to earn more money?
I’ve yet to meet anyone who doesn’t!
If you’re a personal trainer who wants to earn more money, then make-make-sure to read on…
I’m going to share with you 4 Simple Ways To Earn More Money As A Personal Trainer…
#1 Increase Your Prices
Kind of obvious right?
YES! Of course it is.
That said, when was the last time you increased your prices?
You should be increasing your prices by at least 5-10% each year.
The main aim for all personal trainers is to get a full diary of paying clients. When you get into this position, you can then increase your prices. I wrote a more in depth post on this last week – click here to learn more. Increasing your prices is one of the easiest ways to earn more money as a personal trainer.
Creating an ebook can be a great way to add extra revenue to your personal training business!
Creating an ebook requires no cost, just an initial time investment. In some cases it may only take you 5-20 hours to get your ebook finished. Once it’s done, you save it as a PDF and then you’re ready to sell to clients, and new customers. You can do this in person, or sell via your health and fitness blog, Facebook, Instagram, mailing list, etc.
My Experience with ebooks…
Creating ebooks has allowed my personal training business ‘LEP Fitness’ to generate thousands of pounds in extra income over the last 3-4 years…
I have 3 ebooks which I sell on my health and fitness blog. One is an extreme diet plan called The 28 Day Keto Challenge, the other is an ebook for personal trainers called The Ultimate Guide To Building Your Personal Training Business – which teaches coaches how to get a full diary of paying clients, and build a highly successful PT business. Finally, the 3rd book is a weight loss recipe book.
I would highly recommend developing ebooks if you want to earn more money.
#3 Semi Private Personal Training
I’ve talked about this in many of my blogs for personal trainers… doing semi private personal training is a FANTASTIC WAY to earn more money as a personal trainer.
For example, you can charge more per hour, compared to 1-1 training. There are also lots of people who prefer training with a friend, partner, etc – so there’s plenty of demand.
For semi private personal training you could charge an extra £10 per person on top of your 1-1 coaching rate, for example…
- 1-1 – £50 per session
- 2-1 – £60 per session
- 3-1 – £70 per session
- 4-1 – £80 per session
You end up working the same amount of time, BUT for more money.
#4 Diet & Workout Plans
If you’re already an established personal trainer, then I’m sure you have workout plans and templates already set up? You use the same template(s) for each client, but just modify the content/program, etc?
Well, you can utilise this system even further…
Another way to increase your income is to provide ‘one off’ custom workout and diet plans. You can do this for people who are already disciplined, and are in the routine of going to the gym, people who have good gym experience, but who still need some guidance. These people will still benefit from a workout plan, BUT don’t need the 1-1 sessions. You can create a one off workout plan for £60-80, and a custom diet plan for £100+.
At the moment, I do around 5-10 of these per month, earning me around an extra £1,000 in revenue. It’s a great way to earn more money as a personal trainer.
