HEALTH VS WEALTH…

HEALTH VS WEALTH

Are you focusing too much on your career instead of your health?

In the last 12 months I’ve worked with quite a few retired people, these range between 50-70. These LEP members have all had very illustrious careers – ranging from doctors, dentists, to business owners.

Their biggest regret?

They didn’t invest in their health sooner!

They all spent 60+ hours a week on their careers for 30-50 years and whilst thats come with success: wealth and status, it’s also come at the expense of health, and in certain circumstances it’s affected relationships, family life, etc.

It’s come at a huge cost! Their health has taken a beating  because of…

  • Stress – mental/emotional
  • Fast food, always eating out
  • Poor sleep
  • Lack of exercise

What good is having 10 million in the bank but passing away at 50 due to stress?

What good is driving a fancy car if you have no relationship with your kids because you were never at home?

Now I’m not saying you shouldn’t focus on your career. It’s super important to a lot of people (me being one of them!) BUT that said without your health…

You have nothing!

Like I said earlier in this post…

The BIGGEST regret of these clients is…

NOT STARTING SOONER.

“BUT Nick, I need money to pay the bills, rent and feed the kids?”

YES you do but you also need to keep your heart beating right?

You need to be able to breathe efficiently.

Health is wealth! Money means very little without it!

And may I also add…

Improving your health, fitness and emotional wellbeing will actually help your career…

  • Better sleep – reduces stress, allows you to process emotions and heal the body. More energy, improved imagination and creativity to solve problems.
  • Fitter – more self confidence in mind and body. Better able to recover between work days.
  • Good Nutrition – better gut health, improved focus, radiant skin

I could go on and on!

Put your health higher up on your priority list – I can guarantee that your life, career and general happiness will improve ten fold

Thanks for reading,

Nick 🙂
