How to have a ‘kickass day’ and make ‘good sh*t happen’…

Try these 7 tips to have a ‘Frickin’ awesome day!

1) SMILE

“When you’re smiling the whole world smiles with you”. Smile at everyone you see for 1 day, 95% will smile back, 4% won’t (grumpy assholes!) and 1% will think your weird (lol!).

2) INVEST IN OTHERS

Instead of being totally self absorbed (me! me! me!) take time to explore other people’s interests, ask questions which evoke positive answers:

  • What’s been the best part of your day?
  • What are you next looking forward to?
  • What’s the one thing in the world that makes you happy?
  • When are you next going on holiday and are you looking forward to it?

Watch people snap out of their reality and automatically feel happier because their focusing on the good stuff. You’ll also notice that people reciprocate the positive vibe by asking you questions that make you happy too.

3) PAY A COMPLIMENT

A colleague at work has lost weight! Let them know “well done your looking great!”. Your child takes part in an exam… Give them a pat on the back.

4) GRATITUDE 

There’s a mother right now walking for miles in the blistering heat on the search for water to feed her family….

And your moaning at 8am in the morning (after having slept in a comfy warm bed) because you have to go to work! Get a grip Mother Trucker!

Spend 5 minutes in the shower reflecting on how ‘frickin’ awesome your life is: your home, family, partner, youth, wisdom, job, children, the fact you’ve got food in your cupboards and the fact you don’t have to walk miles for water! (You have a tap 5m away!)

5) BE PRESENT

Live in the moment for 1 day. Forget the past, quit trying to predict the future… Live in the moment, observe the weather, nature, take in your surroundings, be aware of touch, sound, smell, and take yourself of autopilot – you’ll be amazed at all the awesome things around you!

6) PULL YOUR SHOULDERS BACK

Pull em back and stand up tall! When your getting ready in the morning appreciate how unique and special you are. Think about your proudest moment. Think about an accomplishment you achieved. Think about all the stuff that your good at.

By standing tall, and pulling your shoulders back you’ll also alter the chemicals in your your brain – feeling happier and more confident.

7) TELL SOMEONE YOU LOVE THEM

Call up someone you love and tell them! It could be your gran, grandad, partner, mum, dad, sister, brother – share the love and let them know!

Try these 7 tips and I guarantee your day will be full of richness. You’ll feel happier, more appreciative, and the energy you give out will be returned in many ways (good ways!) that you’ll never know until you do it…

Now go make some good sh*t happen!
