Personal Trainer ditches the gym for a new workout…
You what a personal trainer doesn’t want to go to the gym? Yep you heard me correct, sometimes I don’t feel like going to the gym. I’d prefer to go on a run, or a long walk or just chill out, eat popcorn and watch some Netflix! Today however I fancied burning some calories but in a different way to how I usually do.
I’ve just recently bought a football net for my garden (yeah I know I’m a big kid!) so I thought i’d spend 45 minutes living like a kid again. In my head I was Wayne Rooney! I thought it would be cool to share some of the highlights.
It’s pretty safe to say I got a good sweat on, and burnt approximately 400 calories (not bad!). You don’t have to go to the gym to burn fat. You can burn calories mowing the lawn, walking, playing tennis, golf, skiing, swimming, anything that involves movement basically.
It’s important to have fun during workouts. Sometimes the bench press and treadmill don’t cut it. This is when you need to look for something fun!
