Is Jason Momoa On Steroids?
22/05/2019Many of you will be familiar with the heart-throb Jason Momoa? The famous actor who played the leading role in Aquaman, Frontier, and who also played Khal Drogo in Game Of Thrones is 6ft 4 inches tall! He has model features, cool surfer style hair, and a rogue looking beard that just adds extra masculinity to his already extreme manliness!
The good looking actor is admired by both men and women from around the world. Most guys want to look like him, and most women want to be with him! Lol!.
Did I mention Jason Momoa’s physique?
The guy has an incredible physique, with big muscles (not too big!) and an athletic frame, making him appealing to both sexes. I think if you ask most guys what their ideal physique would be, it would be something like Jason Momoa, or Brad Pitt in Fight Club, or maybe Zac Efron in Baywatch (although Zac is a little more extreme looking in Baywatch – he’s super shredded!).
Like lots of hunky Hollywood actors, there’s a debate as to whether Jason Momoa has been on steroids in order to enhance his physique. It’s not the first time, and the actor will be accused of taking steroids, and it won’t be the last. For example, Daniel Craig (Casino Royal), Christian Bale (Batman), Matt Damon (Jason Bourne), and Tom Cruise (Mission Impossible) could all be accused of using steroids – because their physiques are so well developed and impressive.
In Hollywood, where the competition is unrelenting, and where there’s lots of money and fame up for grabs – can you blame actors for taking performance-enhancing drugs to gain a competitive advantage?
Is Jason Momoa on Steroids?
Like with lots of male celebrities who have incredible physiques, it can be hard to tell whether they currently take, or have taken steroids in the past. Of course, you have the more obvious actors like Dwayne Johnson, Vin Diesel, and Jason Statham, who look more juiced up, but then there are those actors where it’s hard to tell…
I guess in most cases we’ll never know, that’s unless the actor admits to taking steroids – highly unlikely as steroids are still primarily frowned upon in society, and it could negatively impact their career.
But in all honesty, I don’t think Jason Momoa has a steroid looking physique… not in the slightest.
He has exceptional genetics and a very aesthetically pleasing looking body, he has great abs, broad shoulders/ back, and an impressive pair of arms. But the good news is… that this type of physique can be obtained naturally (without steroids) through hard training and dieting.
If you look at Jason Momoa’s training, you can see that he’s a strong dude, which explains the muscle mass. He’s extremely competent at bodyweight exercises like pull-ups, climbing, and push-ups, and also does plenty of resistance training…
Jason is also naturally an alpha male, standing at 6ft 4, with a square jawline and more hair than Chewbacca (lol!) he’s got a high level of testosterone which helps when it comes to building a muscular/masculine physique.
In short, Jason is genetically gifted and trains like a spartan warrior, which makes a lethal combination. The guy was born to be an alpha male and dominate the Movie Scene!
What’s also pretty cool about Jason Momoa is that he’s a proper geezer at the same time – he’s not overly strict, while he’s disciplined and workouts out, he also likes to party and drink Guinness – read Mens Health article here.
Getting the Jason Momoa Look…
Like I said to look like Jason Momoa you’d need to be lifting weights regularly (at least 4x per week), and likely for at least 2-5 years. You would need to do plenty of strength training, mixed with bodybuilding, combined with bodyweight training – like climbing, pull-ups, dips, and push-ups.
You would also need to consume lots of protein (at least 1.2g of protein per pound of body weight). Once you’ve built the muscle, you could then strip down and get lean.
In Aquaman, I’d estimate that Jason is around 10% body fat, which is lean, but not too lean (like a bodybuilder or fitness model). This leanness is much more obtainable for the average Joe. Once you have an adequate amount of muscle, you could then do something like a keto diet to reveal your hard work.
For example, when I want to get lean I do the 28 Day Keto Challenge – The last time I did it, I lost 16lbs in just 28 days…
The good thing about the keto plan is that it cuts out carbs, which can help you get a very lean and athletic looking physique – although it’s a hard diet to follow – it’s not for the faint-hearted.
