My Week: Life, Tanning, Books, Blogs, Videos, Newspaper feature, and Pure Gym madness!
08/07/2016An Eventful Week…
I had to force myself out of bed this morning, boy I felt shattered! That’s what happens when your in a calorie deficit for a long period, your body slows down. When I finally dragged my backside out of bed (after about 10 snoozes!) my movement was slow and sluggish, like a slug trailing a slime of lethargicness.
Ditching the gym
I was supposed to go to the gym to do my morning cardio (gotta get in shape for my holiday!) but it just didn’t happen. Instead I decided to go on a walk, with no plan, just me, the fresh air, and a couple of podcasts (Jamie Alderton, and Meet the Writers). I’ve just got back (2hrs later!) and although my body is still feeling tired my mind feels revitalised. I thought it would be cool to share some of the things i’ve been up to this week as plenty has happened…
A part from getting burnt by the sun (I think it was Tuesday or Wednesday – I can’t remember!) i’ve had a very good/productive week. I’ve completed 23 session so far with the LEP Tribe (got another 6 today), i’ve been to the gym 3x, done 1 run, and eaten very well.
New projects
I’ve started filming some of my workouts so I can put together an 8 Week Summer Transformation video and blog. I’m going to show you how you too can get lean in a short period of time. As well as the 8 Week Summer Transformation endeavour i’ve also made progress on another project… the 28 day Ketogenic Challenge, this was an experiment I did last year where I lost 16 lbs in 28 days! I’ve edited the video this week and the blog should go live in the next week or two, so stay tuned… you don’t want to miss this one!
Chill time with Sam Walton
I’ve also had plenty of chill time to read and relax. I finished a book called ‘Thoughts are Things‘ which was absolutely brilliant, I may even write a short blog post on it this weekend (if I can recharge my batteries a bit!). I’ve now started reading the Sam Walton : Made In America book. For those of you who haven’t heard of Sam Walton, he was the founder of Walmart (the american retailer). So far i’m only 100 pages in but it’s utterly fascinating and as always i’m enjoying learning from a wise gentleman who had an illustrious career.
Much to Sally’s dismay (clutter apparently!) I also treated myself to another 25 books! I’m looking forward to many hrs of pleasure, and gaining new perspectives/insights on various topics. I’ve bought a mixture of book genres: philosophy, fiction, and autobiographies…
Featuring in the Paper
I’m also proud to announce that I’ve had a newspaper article approved, which will go in print next week. Here’s a sneak preview…
Snapchat Shenanigans
I’ve been doing a lot of videos on snap chat recently (username ‘nickscreetz‘) basically sharing plenty of tips on training, nutrition, whilst also showing my slightly wackier side – celebrity impressions, silly videos and just being a general donut!…. you gotta have some fun right? Anyhow make-sure to follow ‘nickscreetz’ and i’ll follow you back.
A Weekend of Sports…
I’m looking forward to watching the 2016 Euro Final (come on France!) and Wimbledon tennis finals (I hope Andy Murray wins!) – taking some well needed down time to chill with the love of my life (aka Sally F!) and one of my best buddies (aka Rylan Dutton!)
Have a great day amigos, and enjoy your weekend!
Nicko 🙂
